Clockwatch: All-Ireland SFC qualifiers

Rumours were rife this afternoon that Kildare were planning to start Seanie Johnston against his former team at Breffni Park. As had originally been reported, however, he has been left on the bench today – wearing No.21.

Cavan 0-2 Kildare 0-1 – The home team lead after eight minutes.

Westmeath 0-4 Kerry 0-1 Westmeath ahead early on.

Cavan 0-3 Kildare 0-6 Three point advantage now after O’Flatherty fists over. Five wides so far for Cavan.

In the Connacht SFC final, Mayo have beaten Sligo 0-12 to 0-10. Our man Ewan Mac Kenna was liveblogging the game here.

Second half begins at Breffni Park. Carlow have made a couple of changes.

SEANIE WATCH: He shoots wide but is fouled before goalkeeper James Reilly is yellow carded. When he picks up possession again, he clips over the bar to make it Cavan 1-9 Kildare 3-20.
