DANNY CIPRIANI HAS been handed an opportunity to impress England coach Eddie Jones after being named in a 26-man training squad for the forthcoming training camp in Brighton.
Ahead of England’s match against Wales at Twickenham on 29 May and a three-match tour of Australia the following month, Cipriani will participate in the sessions from 17-19 May.
Having missed out on a spot at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and the Six Nations this year, the 28-year-old has been afforded the chance to earn a recall to the team having impressed at Sale Sharks this season.

Eight uncapped players have been called up for the three-day camp, while players from Premiership semi-finalists Saracens, Exeter Chiefs, Wasps and Leicester Tigers have been left out for now.
Jones previously stated that members of the Grand Slam-winning team were not guaranteed inclusion for the tour of Australia and he reiterated that places are still up for grabs.
“The Brighton training camp is a good opportunity for England to get together and train hard ahead of the Wales game and summer tour,” said the coach. “While we will be without those players involved in the Premiership semi-finals it’s crucial that we spend as much time together as possible.
“We have an important game at Twickenham at the end of the month and then a challenging tour to Australia. There’s lots of hard work to be done if we are going to play with the intensity needed to beat southern hemisphere teams.
“Tour places are still up for grabs and I expect the players in this camp, as well as those involved in the play-offs, to continue to make their case for selection.”
England’s 26-man training squad:
Forwards: Dave Attwood, Kieran Brookes, Jack Clifford, Charlie Ewels, Dylan Hartley, Teimana Harrison, Paul Hill, Mat Kvesic, Courtney Lawes, Joe Marler, Chris Robshaw, Kyle Sinckler, Tommy Taylor.
Backs: Mike Brown, Luther Burrell, Danny Care, Danny Cipriani, Ollie Devoto, George Ford, Jonathan Joseph, Mike Haley, Alex Lewington, Semesa Rokoduguni, Anthony Watson, Marland Yarde, Micky Young.
