'It is starting to click for us' - Christy Fagan wins March Player of the Month award

Pat’s striker kicked off the new season with four goals in four games.

CHRISTY FAGAN IS targeting some team silverware with St Pat’s after picking up his first award of the new season.

The Saints striker was named SSE Airtricity/SWAI Player of the Month for March after firing four goals in the first four games of the new season.

It is the third time that Fagan has collected the prize but he knows that Pat’s, who currently sit fourth in the Premier Division, need to show more consistency.

“As a team we have been a bit stop-start so far. We had good results against Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers but some of the other results were disappointing.

It will take some time with the new lads that have come in but it is starting to click for us.

He added: “The aim is to win something this season like it always is at St Pat’s. That’s the target we have set as a team.

“Personally, I have targets in my own head, a number I’d like to get to but I will see how it goes. I have started well with the goals I have got so far.”
