Rugby players mic'd up is our new favourite Super Rugby gimmick

Christian Leali’ifano was all talk during the Brumbies’ meeting with the Crusaders.

Mic’ing up players has become a common practice in the NFL, but it looks like the craze may be coming to rugby, after Australian show Rugby HQ tried it out with the Brumbies’ Christian Leali’ifano during their Super Rugby meeting with the Crusaders last week.

As you can expect, the Wallabies star was doing plenty of yapping in defence, and it gives a great insight into the organisation and communication needed on the field.

Most notably though, the noise of every tackle and hit is absolutely frightening.
