'I have ambitions to become an NFL kicker', says Leicester's Christian Fuchs

The left-back’s wife and children live in New York and he plans on moving to the US when he finishes up with the Foxes.

CHRISTIAN FUCHS IS an interesting guy.

Last summer, he swapped the Bundesliga and one of the league’s best sides for a move to a Premier League team tipped as certainties for relegation.

But, maybe he saw something we didn’t?

Leicester are nearing in on a remarkable and unlikely championship and Fuchs has been a crucial element in their success.

There are other intriguing aspects to his life, namely that his wife and two children live in New York as his partner was previously a senior analyst for Goldman Sachs. And Fuchs sees his future in the US, albeit in quite a different environment, as he revealed to Sky Sports over the weekend.

I have ambitions to become an NFL kicker. Seriously. Depending on (if) the managers in the NFL want a footballer in their team but I am very much up for it.

“I know I can kick a 60 or 65-yard field goal. Let’s see. Dreams can come true, you know. If you don’t dream you won’t reach anything.”
