St Pat's carved Patrick Vieira's Manchester City side open last night to score this beauty

Barca-esque from Chris Forrester and the Saints.

REGULAR FOLLOWERS OF the SSE Airtricity League will know that Chris Forrester is one of the domestic game’s most technically gifted players.

The St Patrick’s Athletic midfielder has a habit of scoring memorable goals and he added another one to his collection last night at Richmond Park.

Patrick Vieira brought his Manchester City Elite Development squad to Inchicore for a friendly, at the end of which the League of Ireland Premier Division side were 3-2 winners.

It was Forrester who opened the scoring for the Saints in the 14th minute. After a patient build-up, Greg Bolger carved the City defence open with a pinpoint left-footed pass. The ball found Forrester on the edge of the box and he applied the finish after a sublime first touch.

Pat’s will be hoping for more of the same when they aim to secure a seventh consecutive league win at home to Galway United tomorrow night.
