DONEGAL SIBLINGS CHLOE and Sam Magee are now just one victory away from claiming a first European Badminton Championships medal for Ireland after booking a place in the quarter-finals this evening.

The Irish pair followed up Tuesday’s win over the fifth-seeded Dutch pair by coming from a set down to advance past Bastian Kersaudy and Lea Palermo of France.
After losing the first set 19-21 in Kolding, the Magees produced an impressive comeback, prevailing 21-16 and 21-15 in the second and third sets.
They will now face either Finland or Poland in a last eight tie with a medal on the line.
