ARGENTINA’S NEW SUPER Rugby side, the Jaguares, lost their first-ever game on home soil in dramatic circumstances last night.
Leading the Chiefs 26-23 with less than three minutes remaining at Jose Amalfitani Stadium in Buenos Aires, Agustín Creevy and his team appeared to be heading for an historic victory.

However, some attacking magic from Damian McKenzie – one of the players of the season so far and an All Black in waiting – Anton Lienert-Brown, Seta Tamanivalu and James Lowe allowed Aaron Cruden to feed Brad Weber for a late try and the Chiefs won 30-26.
Creevy, Martín Landajo and Matias Moroni scored tries for the Jaguares, who have been brilliant to watch so far in Super Rugby, while out-half Nicolas Sanchez kicked 13 points off the tee.
Sam McNicol, McKenzie, Lowe and Weber were the try-scorers for Dave Rennie’s Chiefs, with McKenzie kicking a further five points and Cruden adding a penalty.
