Cheltenham photographer gets these great pics right before a horse crashes into him

Patrick McCann fractured his leg in a freak accident yesterday.

A RACING POST photographer was due to have surgery on a “serious leg fracture” after this freak accident at Cheltenham yesterday.

Patrick McCann was in position on the rails during the Cross Country Chase when Toutancarmont carried out Quantitiveeasing and flattened the unfortunate photographer.

You can see from the footage above that McCann stayed in position with his finger on the button until he realised that the two horses were headed straight for him.
