CHELSEA FANS HOPING to see their club bring in a big name on deadline day will have been left disappointed this evening.
The Premier League champions reportedly had bids for Brazilian defender Marquinhos turned down by Paris Saint-Germain but 23-year-old centre-half Michael Hector did join from Reading — although he will be loaned straight back to the Championship club.
A Jamaican international, Hector is no stranger to loan spells and lined out for a total of 11 clubs during short-term deals while contracted by the Royals.

Back in 2011, he even had a brief stint in the League of Ireland with Dundalk.
