BBC’S FOOTBALL LEAGUE show, a post-Match of the Day Saturday night staple for a lot of football fans, is no more.
The BBC has lost the highlights package for the English lower leagues which will move to Channel 5 from the start of the next season.
The three-year deal will see the programme move to a prime-time 90 minute slot at 9pm — before Match of the Day airs on the Beeb.

“It will take our games to a wider, younger audience by giving us the chance to be first in front of fans on a Saturday night,” Football League chief executive Shaun Harvey said.
Across social media, most of the concern was for presenter Manish Bhasin who anchored the Football League show for the last six years:
