Keylor Navas (Real Madrid): Made some excellent saves to keep Roma at bay and ensure Real progressed with relative ease.
Juanfran (Atletico Madrid): The full-back was part of an Atletico defence that didn’t concede over two legs and the 31-year-old also provided Diego Simeone’s side with a significant threat on the flanks.
Diego Godin (Atletico Madrid): Two more commanding displays from the 30-year-old Atletico centre-back and Uruguay international who continues to enhance his reputation.
Javier Mascherano (Barcelona): Restricted Arsenal to just one goal in two games, showing his impressive positional sense and tackling prowess in the process.
Marcelo (Real Madrid): Got up and down the flank at will and kept two clean sheets — you can’t ask much more of Real Madrid’s Brazilian left-back.
Juan Cuadrado (Juventus): Impressed in both legs for Juve, scoring a delightful goal in the second game. Didn’t deserve to be on the losing team.

Arturo Vidal (Bayern Munich): Limited the Juve attack in both legs and provided plenty going forward with his customary power and energy.
Angel Di Maria (PSG): Gave Chelsea plenty of problems with his pace and footballing intelligence in both games.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG): Made his presence felt with two goals in the two legs, as PSG convincingly beat Chelsea.
Lionel Messi (Barcelona): An obvious choice, but a deserved inclusion. Messi was excellent against Arsenal, scoring three goals over the two legs.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid): Showed typical sharpness in both legs of Real Madrid’s comfortable 4-0 aggregate victory over Roma, scoring two goals in the process.
