LATER THIS EVENING, the Brendan Rodgers era at Celtic gets underway as the club begin their Champions League journey in Gibraltar.
The Hoops will take on Lincoln Red Imps at the Victoria Stadium and it’s very much a David versus Goliath affair.
The home side are the most successful club in the British Overseas Territory and made it through to the second qualifying round last year before defeat to Midtjylland of Denmark.
This time around, they conjured a remarkable result in their first round clash with Estonian side Flora Tallin – beating them 3-2 on aggregate.
The Imps operate on a semi-professional basis and will more than likely feature only five full-time professionals in their starting lineup later tonight.
Two policemen, a customs officer and a shipping agent are all expected to face the Scottish heavyweights.
The team is coached by a Uruguayan – Julio Cesar Ribas – who coached extensively in his homeland and played 15 times for the national team.
Owing to Gibraltar’s appearance in Euro 2016 qualifying, some Imps players may be a little more recognisable these days.
The team’s main striker is Lee Casciaro who scored the country’s first competitive goal against Scotland, ironically enough, in March of last year.
Casciaro’s brothers – Ryan and Kyle – are also part of the squad.

Still lost. Not much to be happy about
Brilliant individual achievement, but kind of tarnished in that the Suns were fouling just to prolong a game they couldn’t win to get him more points
It’s a shame for Booker, Basketball is not an individual sport. The Suns are among the 3 worst teams in the NBA, They’ve lost their last 7 games.
@Paul Scanlon: give the lad some credit
Never seen so much celebrating for a loss.
