IBF SUPER-BANTAMWEIGHT champion Carl Frampton will be called to the ring for his first world title defence by the most iconic voice in boxing.
The legendary Michael Buffer, the man synonymous with the “let’s get ready to rumble” catchphrase, has been confirmed as the MC for Frampton’s showdown with Chris Avalos later this month.

The Jackal puts his title on the line in the Odyssey Arena on 28 February, with the fight set to be screened live by ITV on terrestrial television.
Buffer has announced some of boxing’s biggest names including George Foreman, Roberto Duran, Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Jr but this will be his first time to MC a fight in Belfast.
“It’s great that Michael Buffer will be announcing my fight,” Frampton said. “He is one of the biggest names in the sport. It doesn’t get much bigger than Michael Buffer announcing your world title fight live on ITV!”
