Big guns kept apart in Capital One Cup fourth-round draw

Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Man United and Liverpool won’t play each other until later rounds.

THE DRAW FOR the fourth round of the Capital One Cup has been made following tonight’s games, and the big names won’t meet until slightly later in the tournament.

Manchester United’s reward for defeating Ipswich Town 3-0 is another home date – this time with Aitor Karanka’s Middlesbrough. Manchester City will host Crystal Palace at Eastlands, while high-flying Leicester City face a trip to Hull City.

The draw in full:

  • Stoke City v Chelsea
  • Hull City v Leicester City
  • Sheffield Wednesday v Arsenal
  • Southampton v Aston Villa
  • Everton v Norwich City
  • Manchester United v Middlesbrough
  • Liverpool v Bournemouth
  • Manchester City v Crystal Palace

Ties will be played the week commencing 26 October
