You won't believe why the Cabinteely manager wasn't in the dug-out last night

SSE AIRTRICITY LEAGUE First Division strugglers Cabinteely entertained UCD at Stradbook last night — but had to do so without manager Eddie Gormley.

The former Bray Wanderers boss didn’t appear on the teamsheet, with assistant Dave Mackey instead taking charge, and just before kick-off, the south Dublin club tweeted the reason behind his absence:

Okay, it’s not professional football but you wouldn’t get that sort of stuff in the Leinster Senior League. Cabinteely were beaten 3-1 by the Students.
