IN NEWS THAT will surprise absolutely nobody, Bubba Watson is a big, BIG hitter off the tee.
Wielding his trusty pink driver Bubba averaged 314 yards last season, and we’re set for more of the same in 2015.
He made an absolute mockery of a par-four at the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Thursday, coming within a couple of feet of a hole-in-one.
The 17th hole at TPC Scottsdale is 342 yards long and Bubba drove to within six feet — that’s six feet past the hole, for the record.
Unfortunately he missed the putt back and had to settle for a birdie three as he finished on six-under-par 65 and a shot off Ryan Palmer’s lead.
Still though, that drive.
