Responding to Collymore’s tweets, a BT Sport spokesperson confirmed that the pundit’s Twitter outburst was behind their decision to drop him.
“BT Sport does not agree with any form of racism and believes that it should not be tolerated in Sport. It is a subject which should be tackled and discussed in the correct manner.
“We did not agree with the nature of the debate on twitter, and which BT Sport was brought into without prior agreement. BT Sport will raise and discuss the issue within its programming when relevant and in an appropriate manner.”

FORMER LIVERPOOL STRIKER Stan Collymore revealed last night that he has been dropped as a pundit by BT Sport.
Collymore explained to his followers on Twitter that he had been told by the station that his services were not required for “tomorrow’s show”.
He also suggested his views on sectarianism prompted the channel to make the decision, tweeting:
