MELBOURNE CITY FC captain Bruno Fornaroli was given a slap on the wrists after his cup-winning speech got a little bit lost in translation.

The Uruguayan finished his speech by shouting “And fuck off!” as he prepared to lift the FFA Cup with his team-mates.
“I went to say ‘Vamos!’ [Come on!],” he explained. ”But I said something different I think.”
Both the club and Australian FA felt the need to issue statements, with Melbourne City saying that Fornaroli “regrets his use of unsuitable language and has apologised.”
A-League chief Greg O’Rourke said: “Whilst we take into account Fornaroli’s apology and the fact English is his second language, Bruno’s comments on the stage after the Westfield FFA Cup Final were inappropriate and FFA can not condone what was said.”
