Cruel blow for Cork's Brian Hurley as he suffers another hamstring injury

The forward limped out of a club game yesterday.

CORK’S BRIAN HURLEY could face another extended period on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury on club duty over the weekend.

The Southern Star is this evening reporting that Hurley sustained an injury similar to the one that kept him out of action for eight months during Castlehaven’s game with Ballingeary on Sunday.

Hurley, who has only just returned to full fitness after ripping his hamstring off the bone in training last July, was replaced 53 minutes into the game.

It is feared the 24-year-old has suffered another serious hamstring injury just when the West Cork footballer was working his way back into the plans of Peadar Healy.

A Castlehaven spokesperson told The Southern Star that they are waiting for a scan to determine the extent of the damage but any setback would be a cruel blow for Hurley.
