BRENDAN RODGERS WAS given his marching orders by Liverpool last night and some quarters have questioned the timing and manner of the decision.
After placing faith in the Northern Irishman during the summer, the first eight games of the season have clearly changed the Anfield hierarchyโs mind and reports suggest Rodgersโ fate was determined before yesterdayโs 1-1 draw at Everton.
Although itโs been a stuttering start to the campaign, the Reds lie just four points off Manchester United and Arsenal yet the Fenway Sports Group had decided Rodgers was no longer the man for the job.
But was it the right decision? And why now?
Jamie Carragher, among others, have questioned the timing of the Anfield boardโs move, particularly considering Rodgers was given ยฃ80 million to spend during the transfer window.
โIโd prefer them to have done it in the summer but heโs been there three and a bit years, he hasnโt won a trophy and theyโve played Champions League football once,โ Carragher said on Sky Sports.
โThatโs not good enough for Liverpool.โ

Were Liverpool right to sack manager Brendan Rodgers?
Iโm not renewing my membership unless the adds are removed. Iโm seeing this trend in media greed of using both premium membership and add revenue, sick of it.
@Hud Hastings: If they brought the subscription down to โฌ30 they would have way more people subscribing. Then they may not need ad revenue too.

@Con Cussed: from what Iโve seen , thereโs been a big fall off in reader participation / debate / sharing info and knowledge as well as some of the good natured banter between supporters โ I see some names featuring on other fora now โ as an initiative , I think itโs failed , no going back now โฆ..
@Andrew Martin Farrell: I joined the WhatsApp group for about a week, its full of eejits.
