ALLSTAR DEFENDER BRENDAN Bugler will miss Clare’s relegation play-off against Kilkenny after the Central Appeals Committee upheld a ban against him.
Bugler fought the two-match ban for the straight red card he received in the Banner’s Round 4 win against Dublin.
But both the Central Hearings Committee, and then the Central Appeals Committee last night, threw out his case.
Bugler was sent off by referee Cathal McAllister for “attempting to kick with minimal force” but as it was his second red card in the space of the year, the usual one-match ban was doubled.

The decision is another blow for Davy Fitzgerald’s side as they bid to avoid relegation back to Division 1B following three years in the top flight.
Kilkenny won the toss for venue earlier this week, giving them home advantage in Nowlan Park on Sunday.
