CORK CITY WERE continue their winning streak and put pressure on leaders Dundalk as they came unstuck at the Carlisle Grounds in Bray this evening.
John Caulfield’s men knew victory over the Seagulls would cut the gap at the top of the Premier Division to five points with Dundalk facing Sligo Rovers later this evening.

But the visitors were unable to break down a resilient Bray rearguard during a contest which was devoid of any real quality at either end.
Neither side were able to register a meaningful attempt during a dour first period and while things improved after the break, Cork continued to fire blanks in their search for the breakthrough.
As the game progressed, the Rebels looked to play with more intensity and purpose and were denied a winner late on when Hugh Douglas flung himself at Karl Sheppard’s close range effort to maintain parity.
A late onslaught ensued but Bray held firm as their impressive form under Mick Cooke continued. They remain in sixth while Cork’s slim hopes of winning the title received another setback.
