Bra strap lands Eugenie Bouchard with dress code violation ... and she's then beaten at Wimbledon

THIS SEEMS VERY harsh.

Eugenie Bouchard picked up a dress code violation at Wimbledon today because her dark-coloured bra showed under her regulation-white outfit.

And the former finalist was then dumped out in the first round by world number 117 Duan Ying-Ying.

Bouchard  has only won eight times on tour this year and her 7-6 (7-3) 6-4 defeat means she has now lost eight of her last 10 matches.

She was troubled by abdominal pains before the tournament but made a strong start to the match with a break in the opening game, but her display was littered with errors and eventually Duan fought her way back into contention.

In fact, the qualifier wasted three set points before taking the opener in a tie-break, Bouchard losing the final four points to slip behind.

While she was able to stay in the second set in the opening eight games, the 21-year-old was unable to make any inroads on Duan’s serve and, after saving two break points, her own serve crumbled.

A break in the ninth put Duan on the front foot once again and the 25-year-old promptly served out to love to send the 12th seed crashing out in straight sets.
