German title race looks set to go to the wire as Dortmund deliver thrilling win

The Bundesliga side remain five points behind Bayern Munich after coming from behind to beat Werder Bremen last night.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND REMAIN in the title hunt as they dug deep to come from behind and beat Werder Bremen in a 3-2 thriller last night.

After a scoreless first half, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang grabbed his 23rd league goal of the season within ten minutes of the restart but the guests hit back.

They scored twice inside five minutes as Alejandro Galvez and Zlatko Junuzovic both found the net. With fifteen minutes, Dortmund’s Bundesliga hopes were slipping away.

But, Thomas Tuchel made changes.

Shinji Kagawa and Adrian Ramos were both introduced and the substitutions proved a masterstroke.

Three minutes after being introduced, Kagawa headed home from close range to equalise before Ramos did likewise five minutes later.

Bayern still lead the way by five points with six games left.

Despite trailing in the title race, it’s been a terrific campaign from Dortmund, considering it’s Tuchel’s first in charge. They’re unbeaten in their 17 competitive games in 2016 – winning fifteen of them.

Aubameyang, meanwhile, is now two goals behind Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski in the scoring charts.
