Another record as Borussia Dortmund's blistering start to the season continues

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice from the penalty spot – including a superb Panenka.

IT WAS YET another victory for Borussia Dortmund this weekend as the post-Jurgen Klopp era continued in fine style.

This time it was a 4-2 away win over Hannover as the in-form Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice from the penalty spot while there was another fine contribution from the equally red-hot Henrikh Mkhitaryan and an own goal from Felipe.

The result meant Dortmund maintained their 100% record – nine games in all competitions and nine victories. Four have come in the league and their 12-point tally and 15-goal haul is their best ever start to a Bundesliga season.

So, not bad for new manager Thomas Tuchel.

And not bad for Aubameyang or Mkhitaryan either.

The Armenian has popped up with a glut of goals and assists since the season started and he conjured a superb finish to put Dortmund 2-1 up yesterday.

But it was left to Aubameyang to have the final word – he produced a top-class Panenka to give Dortmund some breathing space before the end.

It just sums up so much about Dortmund right now – they are simply oozing confidence.
