Dortmund fans to show their class with tribute to Hillsborough victims at Anfield

Travelling fans will hold up a mosaic spelling out the number 96 before tonight’s Europa League quarter-final second leg.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND VISIT Anfield this evening to face Liverpool in the quarter-final of the Europa League.

The sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Westfalenstadion last week after Mats Hummels cancelled out Divock Origi’s first half opener to leave the tie evenly-poised.

3,000 travelling fans are expected to make the journey and the Liverpool Echo are reporting that they will unveil a mosaic with the number 96 on it to remember the victims of the Hillsborough tragedy.

Supporters of the two clubs have a good relationship and both sets of fans sang You’ll Never Walk Alone before last week’s first leg.

Tomorrow marks the 27th anniversary of one of the worst disasters to ever hit sport, when 96 people lost their lives during an FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.

There will also be a minute’s silence before the game gets underway.
