Bohemians 0
Drogheda United 1
TIARNAN MULVENNA’S 89TH minute winner was the difference between the two sides this evening as Drogheda United made their hosts pay for a host of missed chances.
For much of the first half, it seemed like a Bohemians opener was inevitable but both Ismahail Akinade and Dean Kelly wasted gilt-edged chances.
As the game wore own, Bohs remained on top and looked to have won a penalty when Akinade burst through on goal in the second half. However, referee Derek Tomney was having none of it and waved play on.
With the game in danger of petering out into a scoreless draw, Mulvenna was the first to react to a Sean Thornton corner and his curling effort secured all three points.
The result sees Drogheda jump to sixth spot in the league while Bohs now sit three points behind St. Pat’s in fifth.

the ref and linesmen can spend the guts of three minutes discussing an incident where a lad’s shorts are pulled down but can’t use a tmo to look at serious infringements such as contentious goals, penalties and fouls. ffs!
That’s nothing fans get their pants pulled down regularly .
