A PRETTY BRUTAL hit.
Catalans Dragons picked up a crucial win in their hunt for a place in the four team playoff in Super League at the weekend, beating St Helens 26-16.
However it was no thanks to their centre Ben Pomeroy, who was sent off for this horrific high shoulder charge on the Saints’ Josh Jones.
With his side 20-10 up at the start of the second half, Pomeroy hit Jones into the face with his shoulder, splitting him open below the chin.
The Australian was shown a red card by the referee, and somehow had the cheek to plead his case.
Incredibly, a cut below the chin was the worst of Jones’ injuries.
WARNING: The noise of the collision may haunt you in your sleep.
