Bayern Munich certainly know how to treat their fans the right way

The German club celebrated a landmark achievement in style yesterday.

BAYERN MUNICH CLAIMED their 1000th Bundesliga victory with a comfortable 4-0 win over Cologne yesterday – and the club marked the occasion by offering supporters free beer after the game.

Arjen Robben returned from injury to star in a victory which sees the champions open up a 10-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga.

Pep Guardiola’s side have made a 100% start to the campaign and are already running away with the league as they look to make it four titles on the bounce.

They could almost start the party now.

But they were celebrating for a different reason yesterday as another landmark was reached in the club’s illustrious history.

We all know how generous Bayern are to their fans with tickets for games at the Allianz Arena incredibly cheap and they showed their generosity again yesterday by opening the bars free of charge.

The hosts welcomed Robben back into the starting line-up after almost two months on the sidelines with a thigh problem and the Netherlands winger made an ideal return, opening the scoring in the 35th minute.

Arturo Vidal doubled the advantage five minutes later and Robert Lewandowski continued his sensational scoring form by adding a third, before winning a penalty for Thomas Muller to complete the rout.

“One thousand victories are outstanding for everyone – coaches, fans, players, employees,” Guardiola told a news conference.

“I am very proud to be coach of Bayern Munich.”
