'Bath bombing' is the last great meme of 2014

“Love my new bath bomb from Lush.”

2014 HAS BEEN a strong year for memes. And in its final gasp, it’s given us one last excellent one: the bath bomb.

Here’s how it began: at Christmas, a LOT of people got given Lush bath bombs.

Naturally, there was a slew of smug direct-from-the-bath tweets and Instagram pics.

So early this morning, Twitter user Megan Skalla decided to fight back. With the weapon of pizza.

(If you’re reading on mobile, click into the tweet for the full effect.)

Her post was retweeted hundreds of times. So many, in fact, that a meme was born.

There were noodles.

There were eggs.

There were dishwasher tablets.

Teabags.

There were ‘dirt bath bombs’

Oh, and there were actual bombs.

Basically, it’s completely out of hand.

Sorry Lush.
