Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays players come to blows

Right-hand haymaker sparks second base brawl between Rangers and Blue Jays

Nobody likes to see this sort of thing, right?

THE TEXAS RANGERS won a fiery affair against the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6 as tension from last post-season reared its head once again with a pair of bench-cleaning incidents last night.

Toronto had a 6-4 lead until Ian Desmond blasted a three-run homer over left field in the seventh, which came before emotion spilled over in the eighth.

Jose Bautista was hit by a pitch at the top of the eighth, before he slid in hard on second baseman Rougned Odor, who then punched the Blue Jays star which kicked off a melee in game that ended with eight rejections.

When things boil over in sport, they usually involve a whole lot of posturing, shirt-grabbing and more posturing, but Odor has skipped all that and gone straight for the finishing blow against Bautista.
