UFC legend demonstrates how to stop Conor McGregor from stealing your belt

Bas Rutten shows Jose Aldo how it’s done.

BAS RUTTEN IS officially a legend in the Ultimate Fighting Championship after it was announced last week that he is to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Rutten, from Holland, was the UFC’s first champion from Europe, and the former heavyweight star was on FOX Sports show The Buzzer last night alongside current UFC light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and former featherweight and lightweight title challenger Kenny Florian.

Rutten used Cormier’s belt, which he acquired last Saturday by defeating Anthony Johnson at UFC 187, to demonstrate how Jose Aldo should have reacted when Conor McGregor grabbed the reigning UFC featherweight champion’s belt in Dublin back in March.

Aldo will defend his title against McGregor in Las Vegas on Saturday, 11 July. Sound advice here from a UFC icon. Jose, pay attention…

@Mike Keane: actually Mike, he tapped his boot at the Galway player, he shouldn’t have done it but it was not malicious. The treatment he received that day was disgraceful. He was an amazing footballer in his time.

Dully is a Dublin legend, he played hard, but to be fair he took a hugh amount of abuse. I can state personally he gave as good as he got. Proud to say I played against this Dublin legend. One of the toughest and finest footballer of the 80,s
