MAYO’S STRENGTH AND conditioning coach Barry Solan is set to juggle his role with Connacht finalists with a new position with Premier League side Arsenal.
Ballaghaderreen native has been snapped up by the Gunners ahead of the 2015-16 season.
The Mayo News and Mid West Radio have revealed that Solan is set to combine both roles with Mayo currently gearing up for a Connacht final date with Sligo on 19 July.
Solan has built up an impressive CV in recent times having worked in Gaelic football with the Laois and Kildare senior squads.

He’s no stranger to soccer either having worked with the Polish national senior side in Euro 2012 and has also helped train Katie Taylor before the 2012 London Olympics.
Solan played for Ballaghaderren, the club of county senior Andy Moran, in 2012 when they won the Mayo senior championship and reached the AIB Connacht club final before losing to Roscommon’s St Brigid’s.
