The game at the Sydney Cricket Ground was delayed by 10 minutes as medical staff attended to the Australian Navy parachutist after he lost control on landing.

Video footage from the stands shows the skydiver descend rapidly and hit the ground at some speed.

It’s been reported that he was taken to hospital with leg and pelvic injuries after losing consciousness for a few minutes.

He was delivering the match ball as part of the pre-game Anzac Day commemorations.
