IT’S BEEN CONFIRMED that Artem Lobov will face Cub Swanson in the main event of UFC Fight Night at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on 22 April.
The Russian fighter, who is trained by Irish coach John Kavanagh and is based in Dublin, has long been keen to fight Swanson.
The details were confirmed at last night’s UFC 208 event, with SBG Ireland fighter set to take on the 33-year-old American, who is currently on a three-match winning streak.
“It was the fight I was offered, I’m gonna teach him some manners,” Swanson told MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.
Lobov most recently overcame Teruto Ishihara back in November at UFC Fight Night 99 at Belfast’s SSE Arena, his second win on the bounce, after beginning his UFC career with two losses.
