Mutu joined Chelsea from Parma for  €22.5m in August 2003. The former Romania international disappointed during his time at Chelsea, however, with just 10 goals in 27 appearances.

A failed drugs test for cocaine saw him receive a seven-month ban and he ultimately left London to join Juventus in 2005. After just seven goals in 33 appearances in Turin, he departed and had a more successful five-year stint at Fiorentina.

Mutu finished career with short stints at a number of smaller clubs including Pune City in India and Romanian side ASA Targu Mures, before retiring in 2016.

Now 38, he has stayed in football, and is currently general manager at Romanian side Dinamo Bucuresti.
