Alexis at the double for Gunners in controversial win

The Gunners scraped to victory over the struggling Tigers, though the Chilean attacker benefited from the ball hitting his arm and going in.

ARSENAL MANAGED TO restore their form on Saturday when they beat Hull City 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium. However, the win was not without its controversy.

Having lost their last two Premier League encounters, the Gunners were able to ensure they avoided a further slip up with a win over the struggling Tigers.

Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring in the 34th minute after Eldin Jakupovic’s parry saw it hit his arm and go in.

The Gunners benefited from another handball late on, this time Sam Clucas was sent off after blocking a header on the line, with Sanchez stepping up to convert.
