Evening all and welcome to Croke Park for tonight’s second showdown as Armagh and Kildare face off for the first time in senior football championship action. Throw-in is 7pm and there’s an All-Ireland quarter-final spot up for grabs.

What a boost for Armagh! Captain Rory Grugan created the goal, jinking in from the left wing and offloading to Murnin. His shot was partially blocked by Mick O’Grady but the ball spun away from Donnellan in goal, allowing Murnin to race in and boot the ball over the line.

The half ended with a point for Kildare from Niall Kelly, Armagh in front by three at the break with that Murnin goal separating the teams.

Momentum is with Armagh entering the second half as they hold a three-point advantage.
