MONAGHAN AND ARMAGH snapped up the last two All-Ireland senior football quarter-final spots on offer for 2017, when they claimed victories tonight in Croke Park.

And there were personal triumphs for Monaghan midfielder Kieran Hughes and Armagh forward Jamie Clarke as they claimed the man-of-the-match awards in their respective games.

As Monaghan saw off Down to return to the quarter-final stage, Scotstown player Hughes was in excellent form and chipped in with 0-3 from his midfield berth.

Crossmaglen Rangers forward Clarke gave a marvellous display in their victory against Kildare as he weighed in with 0-4 from play and sparkled in attack.

Do you agree with the man-of-the-match award winners or do you think another player should have got the nod?
