Fans put on an incredibly intense show as APOEL held Dortmund in Cyprus

Despite the support, the German side are rooted to the bottom of Group H.

THEY MAY BE top of the standings in the Bundesliga but Borussia Dortmund are finding the going tough in this season’s Champions League.

After three games in Group H, they’re currently bottom with no wins after being held in Cyprus tonight.

After a scoreless first-half, APOEL took the lead just after the hour mark through Mickael Pote but the guests hit back almost immediately through Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

Still, a winner eluded Peter Bosz’s side and they have a crucial game back in Dortmund on 1 November in the return fixture.

After successive 3-1 defeats, the draw is certainly a step in the right direction but they’re now up against it in their quest to make it to the knockout stages.

In an incredibly intense atmosphere in Nicosia, both sets of supporters played their part in turning the stadium into a cauldron.
