Life-size stature of AP McCoy unveiled at Cheltenham

A nice start to this year’s festival.

A LIFE-SIZE BRONZE statue of legendary jockey AP McCoy has been unveiled at Cheltenham race course on the opening morning of this year’s festival.

The statue, crafted by Dublin-based sculptor Paul Ferriter, is situated on the Best Mate Blaza beside the north entrance of the course.

“I never thought at any stage when I was coming here that there would be a statue of me. I’m very proud and very honoured,” he said.

“For anybody that’s getting their picture with that statue, a lot of my friends would say that this statue has gotten a lot more personality that I have.”

Doubt it very much, He’ll be warming the bench for a new keeper from Serie A, or else playing for a midtable championship club next season.

Pepe hasn’t been at his best in the last few seasons. Some serious competition coming in will really make him earn his place between the sticks. I feel bad for Brad Jones but very happy with the move overall.

    I’d say reina will go.
Apparently he’s on 110k a week. Can’t see rogers spending 9 million on a keeper to be on the bench and reina’s wages are too high for him to be a sub either

Cant imagine Kopites copying another team’s chant word for word, they’re a bit stuffy about that sort of thing.

The reason pepe has been bad because he has had no competition the last few years and knew that his place in the team was safe wheater he leaves or not is up to him but he should stay and win back the hearts of the fans
