LIMERICK HURLING GAINED a new celebrity fan tonight as they lifted the Bord Gáis Energy Munster U21 final win over Clare.

And in Ennis to see the Limerick side triumph was the legendary horse racing jockey AP McCoy.

McCoy was in Cusack Park with JP McManus, the long-time sponsor of Limerick GAA.

Prior to his retirement earlier this year, McCoy was the retained rider for McManus’s horses.

Victory for Limerick propels them into an All-Ireland semi-final meeting with Galway on 22 August with McCoy’s native Antrim facing Wexford in the other last four tie on the same day.

Where will McCoy’s loyalties lie in the event of a potential Limerick-Antrim final?
