A Man United player has won Premier League POTM for the first time in 2 years

Anthony Martial hasn’t taken long to settle in at his new club.

THE PREMIER LEAGUE Player of the Month and Manager of the Month were revealed this morning.

Having arrived in England as the most expensive teenager in world football, French forward Anthony Martial took to his new environment remarkably well — scoring a stunning debut goal in Manchester United’s victory over Liverpool.

Martial produced three goals and one assist in total during the September to beat Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy, Dimitri Payet of West Ham, Watford striker Odion Ighalo, Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and Man United team-mate Daley Blind to the award.

It is the fist time a player from the club has won POTM since Robin van Persie back in April 2013.

Meanwhile, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino earned Manager of the Month thanks to three victories — over Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Man City.
