REPUBLIC OF IRELAND international Andy Keogh seems to have finally settled after his career in England was one of nomadic existence.
The Dubliner failed to make much of an impression at any of his eight English clubs over the past decade but after moving abroad to A-League outfit Perth Glory during the summer, Keogh is thriving Down Under.
In this morning’s top-of-the-table clash, Keogh scored his eight league goal of the campaign as the Glory beat Melbourne Victory 2-1.
The 28-year-old opened the scoring during the opening exchanges with a neat finish after latching onto a through-ball but after suffering a nasty cut to the lip, Keogh was determined not to go off and sported a rather uncomfortable looking bandage for the rest of the game.
It’s no coincidence that his prolific form on-front of goal has corresponded with the Glory’s remarkable change of fortune as they’ve sprung from eight in the standings to the summit.
They have now gone 10 games without defeat and have opened up a seven point lead as the league prepares to take a break for the Asian Cup this month. Keogh is just two goals behind top-scorer Nathan Burns of Wellington Phoenix.
Glory face Adelaide in their next outing on Monday when Keogh will be hoping to continue his red hot form in sizzling temperatures.

Class act. R.I.P.
RIP another ledgendary BBC commentator….
His name lives on in Colmanballs at the Private Eye
Very distinctive commentator. Reminded me of Brian Moore, another class act.
The BBC/ITV have been blessed with some great commentators down through the years, Dan Maskell, David Coleman, Brian Moore, Ted Lowe, John Motson, Barry Davies, David Vine, Tony Gubba, and Murray Walker to name a few. David Coleman was one of the greats, and is yet another one of the great commentators now no longer with us, may he rest in peace. Finally for those who know their commentators, this is a list of the top ten commentators of all time as voted by readers of the Daily Mail in 2009.
