The highlight of the bonus-point victory on a chilly night in Cork came in the 19th minute, when Andrew Conway crossed for the second of Munster’s six tries.
After Jaco Taute’s try had helped Munster to open up a 10-3 lead, the Dragons sought to level the scores by threatening for their first try of the game. Just a few metres short of Munster’s line, the visitors had a try intercepted by Tyler Bleyendaal as they attempted to break the line.
The Munster out-half, who captained the side for the second game in a row, broke away but — as he admitted afterwards — didn’t have the pace to go all the way as his opposite number Dorian Jones closed him down.
Instead, the Kiwi kicked ahead brilliantly to set up a foot race between Jones and Andrew Conway. Roared on by a sell-out crowd on Leeside, the speedy Munster full-back was the victor.

Jaco Taute scored two of Munster’s tries last night, while Dave Kilcoyne and Ronan O’Mahony also crossed in addition to a penalty try against the Welsh side, who scored a couple of tries themselves thanks to Sam Hobbs and Elliott Dee.
Munster remain one point clear of the Ospreys — who were 10-40 winners away to Zebre last night — going into next weekend’s top-of-the-table clash in Swansea.
