DESPITE POSSESSING A team which includes David Villa, Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo, New York City have failed to make the MLS play-offs and lost 3-1 at home to New England Revolution over the weekend.

Kelyn Rose headed home the visitors’ third goal on 55 minutes, but just watch how little interest Italian legend Pirlo has in covering the front post as the ball whizzes by him.

We can only assume he was day-dreaming about sipping wine on his vineyard in Brescia.
