Dutch rider Daan Meijers secures An Post Rás stage seven victory

Damien Shaw is currently the best of the Irish in fifth.

THE SEVENTH STAGE of An Post Rás was won by Netherlands Delta Cycling Rotterdam cyclist Daan Meijers, while his teammate Jan-Willem Van Schip finished in second.

Stage five winner Regan Gough of An Post Chair Reaction came in third in the second last stage of the race took place Donegal Town and Louth’s Ardee.

English rider James Gullen retained the leader’s yellow jersey and will hope to consolodate his position for end of the final stage in Skerries.

JLT Condor’s Gullen leads second placed Ike Groen by one minute and five seconds. Damien Shaw is currently the best of the Irish in fifth.
