Khan believes Mayweather is 'avoiding him'.

Amir Khan tells Manny Pacquiao to 'man up' if he wants to fight

British boxer Amir Khan is determined to fight unbeaten welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

AMIR KHAN HAS denied he is set to fight Manny Pacquiao any time soon, though he is open to a showdown with the Filipino icon if he is unable to secure an opportunity to face Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Comments attributed to Bob Arum’s Top Rank promotions claim that a bout between Khan and Pacquiao could take place in Dubai, however, the British world-title contender has distanced himself from those reports.

Khan has made public his desire to get into the ring with Mayweather, but the unbeaten American welterweight champion seemingly dashed those hopes last week when he named Karim Mayfield or Andre Berto as his farewell opponent in September.

But Khan continues to hold out for a shot at Mayweather.

“It’s all rumours and speculation, I’ve not spoken to Manny about a fight in Dubai and neither did our camps, so it’s untrue,” Khan told Emirati newspaper The National.

“Look, if Manny wants to fight, we can do it, I’ve offered him and his team in the past, but they turned us down. If Manny mans up and wants to take the fight then it will happen, but the only fight I am interested in right now is Floyd Mayweather.”

Khan boasts a career record of 31 wins and three defeats after claiming an unanimous points win over Chris Algieri in New York in May.
