CHELSEA HAVE CONFIRMED the capture of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid on a five-year deal.
No fee has been officially revealed though it’s believed it’s a club record of around £70m.

Morata had been linked with a switch to Manchester United earlier in the summer but after a breakdown in negotiations over the price, they turned their attentions to Romelu Lukaku – Chelsea’s main attacking target – and signed him instead.
With a scarcity of other elite and available options, Blues boss Antonio Conte instructed the top-brass to make a move for the 24-year-old Spaniard.
With Real from 2008 until 2014, he won a league title, a Copa del Rey and Champions League before moving to Juventus, where he claimed back-to-back domestic doubles.
Real exercised their buy-back option last summer and Morata tasted more success – this time a league and Champions League double.
